An orange weather alert has been issued for the capital area tomorrow, Thursday, March 26, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. RESIDENTS ARE STRONGLY URGED TO STAY HOME DURING TOMORROW'S SEVERE WEATHER AND AVOID ALL UNNECESSARY TRAVEL.
Expect significant disruptions to school operations. Primary schools and preschools will operate with minimum staffing. Parents or guardians who must bring their children to campus should email school administrators in advance.
Regular preschool and after-school programs will resume as soon as the weather warning lifts. We encourage residents to monitor local media for further updates.

An Orange Weather Warning has been issued for the greater Reykjavík area, in effect from 7am. to 1pm. on Thursday, March 26. RESIDENTS ARE URGED TO STAY HOME UNTIL THE STORM PASSES TOMORROW AND TO GO OUTSIDE ONLY IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.
All school operations will be disrupted on Thursday. Preschools and primary schools will remain open with limited staffing.
