The Nordic Programming Olympiad was held on March 5. This year's competitors from Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland participated from their respective home countries during the competition. Gunnsteinn Þór, a 10th grade student at Breiðholtsskóli, participated in the competition and won a bronze medal!

On Saturday, March 8, the Secondary School Programming Competition took place. The competition features three divisions of varying difficulty: Alpha, Beta and Delta. Gunnsteinn, despite being only in 10th grade, competed in the most challenging division, the Alpha division. He was part of the team Byte Marks along with two students from Reykjavík Junior College: Magnús Thor Holloway and Merkúr Máni Hermannsson. The team placed third in the Alpha division.

Breiðholtsskóli extends heartfelt congratulations to Gunnsteinn for this excellent achievement!
