Breiðholtsskóli held its annual gingerbread house competition at the school library this week.

A total of 28 children in grades 1-8 took part in the 2025 gingerbread house competition. The gingerbread houses totaled 22, though some entries were actually made up of gingerbread house clusters.

The judges — 13, including a mix of students and staff, plus a guest judge from the Hotel and Restaurant School of Iceland — faced a very difficult task, as is often the case. It was wonderful to see how much effort the competitors put into their creations.
